Bob Saak presented the Citizen of the Year award to Eric Freeburg
Eric Freeburg was extremely active in the formation and operation of the Chester Industrial Development Corporation. He served on the board as the company’s president for two years. Eric also served for many years on the Chester Chamber of Commerce Board and served as President for several terms. He also was a member of the Chamber’s Advisory Board.
Under his guidance and leadership, during his 19 years as Administrator of Memorial Hospital in Chester, the hospital regained financial health and improved medical services were made available to the community. Eric knew from the beginning how important Memorial Hospital is to the community and worked diligently to lead the hospital toward excellence. Due to health problems, Eric had to retire from his position but still continues to serve as a consultant.
Eric and his wife, Beth, now reside in Farmington, MO.
